ControlPro v3.4
Simulation mode allows you to simulate the processing of tickets without running your automation or affecting material stores. This is useful for practicing with tickets. Follow these instructions for activating simulation mode.
Click on the settings button on the left side column of the home screen.
In settings, click on “Local” to access the local settings. Then check the box marked “simulation mode”.
After simulation mode is activated, every window in ControlPro will display “Simulation Mode” in red letters. This is to let the operator know it is in simulation mode. When done simulating tickets, make sure to take it back out of simulation mode. This is achieved by unchecking the simulation mode box and clicking the update button. The setting for auto-correct transactions for deliveries will prevent simulation mode from removing inventory from material stores. If this box is unchecked, simulated deliveries will remove product from the material stores.
If you import tickets from a third-party agronomy software, make sure you don’t simulate with their tickets. That’s because ControlPro will still export those tickets back to the agronomy software. To get around this, only test with tickets that you create yourself inside of ControlPro. This way, no export files are generated for the agronomy software. Please refer to our other article if you need assistance creating tickets in ControlPro. When done simulating loads, be sure the purge the test tickets you created so reporting isn’t affected by them.
If you have material stores setup, inventory levels are not affected when using simulation mode. For each ticket simulated, you will see a “Delivery_Simulation” and “Simulation_Correction”. The product is added back so simulated tickets don’t affect your inventory records.
