ControlPro v3.4
In this example, we’ll show you how to process a ticket in ControlPro. This article assumes you know how to create materials, customers, drivers, equipment, and tickets. If you need assistance with any of these steps, please refer to our other KnowledgeBase articles.
To get started, we need to open the system screen. The system screen is where all tickets are processed. We have three different system types available: default, simple, and unattended. Below are screenshots of what each screen looks like. The unattended screen is used by drivers to run their own loads. The simple screen is a simplified version of the default system screen. It’s best for customers who don’t utilize all the features. For this tutorial, we’ll be using the default screen.

To get started, click on the green plus sign on the tickets tab. This opens the ticket search screen. You can highlight the ticket and click the “accept” button, or double click the ticket. Either way will load the ticket into the system. If you get an error popup when attempting to add a ticket, read the error because it tells you why the ticket cannot be added. The usual issues are, wrong ticket type (adding dry ticket to liquid system), missing materials, or wrong unit of measure (gallons instead of pounds).
Once the ticket is added to the system, we’re ready to fill in some information and start processing.
In the example below, I added a ticket and entered in the driver and equipment information. Driver and equipment are optional by default. You can change that setting under the Options tab if you want to require those two fields.
The batch tab gives you a detailed breakdown of the materials in the ticket and the amounts of each. At the top right is the option to create sub-batches. Please refer to our KnowledgeBase articles if you want more in depth details about sub-batches.
If you do not use sub-batching, the ticket is ready to process. Click the ticket to highlight it, then click the process button. If you won’t highlight a ticket, the process button will be deactivated. Your automation will start dispensing the product, and you’ll see a green progress bar move from left to right, which tracks the progress of the load. Once the load is complete, your system will close the ticket and print a BOL, if configured to do so.
If you want to run multiple tickets at once for one load, please refer to our KnowledgeBase article about multi-ticket batching.
