ControlPro v3.4
Primary and secondary systems are a way to start a ticket on one system and complete it on another. The most common use case is sulfur towers that are separate from the main loadout. The driver will pick up their primary products at the main loadout station. After that, the driver will go to the sulfur loadout. The driver will pick up their sulfur and receive a printed Bill of Lading that shows the total delivery of all products. If you want help setting this up, reach out to a ControlPro tech at Murray. Once setup, you can process tickets following the instructions below.
On the primary system, we have three dry products assigned: nitrogen, phosphorous, and potash.
On the secondary system we have one product assigned: sulfur.
I created a normal ticket that contains products from both systems.
To get started, assign the ticket to the primary system. You’ll notice that ControlPro allows you to assign the ticket even though the primary system doesn’t contain sulfur. When you connect the two systems together, the primary system knows that the sulfur product is assigned to the secondary system and allows you to process it. Once the ticket is loaded, go to the batch tab. You’ll see that nitrogen and potash are in bold letters. That means this system will only load those two products and not attempt to deliver the sulfur.
When you click process, it will load nitrogen and sulfur.
Once completed, the ticket will remove itself from the primary system and place itself in the queue on the secondary system. This queue can be found under the Loads tab. This tab is only available on the secondary system. You can queue up multiple loads, so make sure you select the correct one for the driver.
Click on the load to highlight it. Then go to the batch tab. Under the batch tab, you’ll see sulfur is in bold letters, and the other two products are already delivered. Click the process button to deliver the sulfur.
You can see here the green progress bar will start moving while it’s delivering the sulfur. Once it’s finished, the ticket will clear itself and print a Bill of Lading (if configured to do so).
Once completed, the load tab on the ticket shows all three products delivered in one load.
The Bill of Lading also reflects all three products delivered in one load.
That’s it. If you’re interested in setting up primary and secondary systems, reach out to a ControlPro technician for assistance.
