ControlPro v3.4
ControlPro now supports barcodes and Zebra barcode scanners. Barcodes are built into dispatch notifications by default. You can also add barcodes to your Bill of Lading, mix tickets, or other template documents. In this case, I’ll be adding a barcode to the Bill of Lading. Please refer to the article about dispatches to learn how to set them up.
Below is the code for adding a barcode to a template document. The first setting is the size of the barcode in inches. In this case, it’s 2.25 inches by 0.25 inches. The second setting is the data contained within the barcode. In this example, I’m using the TIK_ID template tag for ticket numbers. Refer to our template tag documentation to learn more about what tags are available in the software.
{TBA_BARC:2.25x.25|TIK_ID}
Using the code above, the software will generate a barcode for the ticket number. Below is an example of the code in the template document.
Below is an example of what it looks like when printed or viewed.
If you adjust the vertical height of the barcode to 0.5 inches, it will look like this.
If you adjust the horizontal size of the barcode to half the default (1 1/8” or 1.125), it will look like this.
You can place the barcode anywhere you want on the template. It can also contain any information you want, as long as it’s a valid template tag. If using an invalid template tag, you will receive the error below. If you receive this error, first check that the template tag is spelled correctly and doesn’t contain extra spaces.
