ControlPro v3.4
To send email from ControlPro, an SMTP email server needs to be configured. Follow these instructions to set up an SMTP email server. On the home screen, click the settings button.
On the settings screen, click the local radio button, then the email and text tab. Here you can fill in the details for a custom email server. (The A2 email server is no longer in use).
Type in your SMTP credentials into the fields below. If the SMTP account username is different from the email address, or you need a different port, check the box that says “non-default credentials”. This enables the username and port fields.
You can run a test by adding an email to the distribution section on the right. Click on the gray line to enable the cursor and type in an email. Then use the test button to send a test email and confirm it’s working. Any addresses left in the distribution box will receive all BOLs created in the system. Make sure to remove the address when you have finished testing. Click the address to highlight it, then press the delete key on your keyboard to remove it.
These settings need to be configured on each copy of ControlPro. If you have any questions about setting up an email server, please contact our support team.
