ControlPro v3.4
The companion app is a new addition to ControlPro. It’s a license free version of ControlPro that provides different functions such as a scale screen to direct drivers on and off the scales, a batch detail screen to show what is being delivered, and even signature capture. Each screen is detailed below with the functions they provide.
Read only scale screen
The read only scale screen gives you the ability to display the load progress on a remote screen. This can be used for truck drivers or automation operators. The screen displays information such as ticket information, scale weights, and directions for driving on and off the scale.
Below is how the screen looks when the scale is empty, and no ticket is loaded in the system.
When a truck drives on the scale, and you load a ticket in the system, new information will appear on the screen. This is where you wait for the scale to steady and capture the trucks tare weight from ControlPro.
Once the tare weight is captured, a new load is created in the ticket. Afterwards, the screen will direct the driver to drive off the scale.
After the product is loaded into the truck, the driver goes on the scale to capture the gross weight of the truck. The program will tell the driver to wait while the load becomes steady.
Once the scale is steady, the weight is captured, and the load is completed. The screen then tells the driver to leave the scale.
Unattended scale screen
Along with our new manual scale system, we’ve developed an unattended screen to be used with it. This is designed for interaction via touchscreen monitor. A driver can weigh themselves in and out on the scale and process the loads on their own. Keep in mind this is a manual system not connected to any automation. It’s designed for systems that manually load trucks without meters or automation. The amount of delivered material is calculated using the tare and gross weights from the scale. This system must be used with a scale that is certified for custody transfer.
As you see below, it looks like the unattended system screen. The driver will enter their information into each field, which is validated with a green check mark. A red X means the information is not present or not valid. A truck will weigh themselves empty using the capture tare and create load button. After receiving the load and parking on the scale, they press the capture gross and complete load button to complete the process. The scale motion must be steady before weights can be captured.
Signature capture screen
We built a signature capture screen into the companion app. Now you can capture signatures remotely without having to run another licensed version of ControlPro.
Batch details screen
Like the read only scale screen, the batch details screen is used to display ticket information for any loads currently being processed. This is designed to work with automated systems and not scales. It’s meant to be used with a large TV or monitor. It’s helpful for both the driver and operator, so they can see the progress of the load without having to be at the PC running the automation.
Below is what the screen looks like when no loads are running.
This is what the screen looks like when a load is running. It displays all the ticket information, plus the requested and delivered amounts. The delivered amount updates in real time so you can see the progress of the load. When the ticket is finished, the screen will clear the ticket data and wait for the next ticket to start processing.
