ControlPro v3.4
This article discusses originated tickets. When creating a normal ticket, the originator assigned to your instance is the one chosen for the ticket. Originated tickets allow you to create tickets for any originator, regardless of which one you are currently using. In the tickets and loads section, click on the green plus sign with a circle around it.
The originated ticket window appears. Choose the originator you want from the drop-down menu. The serial ID is the ticket number after the originator prefix. When you choose the serial ID, you have the option to create duplicate tickets and increment the serial ID. To achieve this, check the box, and type in the total number of tickets you want in the total count field. If you only want one ticket, leave the box unchecked. When finished, click submit.
After submitting, the new ticket window appears. The ticket number will be the originator prefix with the serial ID added to the end (501123456). The next step is to add materials and a customer. You can add formula and estimated loads as well like a normal ticket. Once finished, click save.
The ticket is ready for processing. This originated ticket feature is used for creating tickets for other originators, usually other instances of ControlPro. We do not recommend creating tickets for a third-party originator that is agronomy software. That’s because, once this ticket is sent back to them, it won’t match any tickets they created in their system. In this scenario, it’s best to create the ticket in the agronomy software, then export it to ControlPro.
