ControlPro v3.4
To create new equipment in ControlPro, click on the green plus sign in the Equipment section of the home screen.
On the new equipment screen, start by typing in the number of the equipment. This can be any number for identification. Common examples are truck ID numbers or license plate numbers. The next setting is the unattended ID. This is only used on the unattended system. The unattended ID is a shortcut ID, containing either letters or numbers, that is custom for each equipment. This makes it simple for the driver to type in the equipment information. They can use a short unattended ID instead of a long equipment ID of 99900008.
After typing in the company name, the next option is container type. Select either dry or liquid, depending on the product type it’s designed to transport. Next is the tare weight. If used with a scale system, this setting can be updated by capturing the tare weight from the scale. Otherwise, the tare weight can be manually entered. Next setting is the capacity. Most dry trucks measure either pounds or tons, and liquid trucks usually measure pounds or gallons. If the ticket amount exceeds the equipment capacity, the amount is automatically sub-batched to prevent the equipment from being overloaded. In version 3.3, we added separate weight and volume capacities. Also, we added a checkbox for “clean”. This is used in dry systems to signify the truck is clean and doesn’t contain leftover product from a previous load.
Below this is a checkbox for compartments. Compartments are sections of a trailer. When this box is checked, the system will automatically sub-batch the ticket to allow you to segment the load across the compartments. The system has no way of knowing the number of compartments, so it must be manually split into equal portions when sub-batched.
Below are two examples of a liquid and a dry equipment setup. Once you have entered all the information, click save. Now the equipment can be assigned to a ticket.
